Sunglasses Calanques is proposed as an application of the Project Si(s)tèmo which treat about the uses of invasive plants form National Parc of Calanques de Marseille.
These sunglasses are made of woody alfalfa, a shrub originally growing on eastern Mediterranean islands which is an invasive specie of the National Parc of Calanques.
The dark and dense wood of this shrub is particularly suitable for making small personal items such as sunglasses. First because the small wood sections agree with the quantities of materials necessary for the manufacture of such objects. Then, the nature of the wood, very dense, offers to these glasses a particularly pleasant touch and its aesthetic character adds a natural dimension to the object. Finally, the sunglasses is a high added value product which makes it possible to strengthen the economical model in which this item could fit in.
In addition, the relatively simple shape of these sunglasses makes it possible to integrate a production within an existing crafting workshop.

Ces lunettes sont réalisées en luzerne arborescente, un arbuste originaire des îles de Méditerranée orientale qui est une plante invasive du Parc National des Calanques.
Le bois sombre et dense de cet arbuste se prête particulièrement à la fabrication de petits objets personnels comme les lunettes. Déjà, les faibles sections de bois disponibles concordent avec les quantités de matières nécessaires à la fabrication de tels objets. Ensuite, la nature du bois, très dense offre à ces lunettes un toucher particulièrement agréable et ses qualités esthétiques rajoutent un cachet tout naturel au produit final. Enfin, la lunette de soleil est un produit à haute valeur ajoutée ce qui permet de consolider le modèle dans lequel pourrait s'inscrire cette réalisation.
